Brinegar and Anderson advance to the 2024 Federation National Championship

Congratulations to Chad Brinegar and Trey Anderson for being the top boater and co angler at this year’s TBF Semi-National held this weekend on the Mon River in Fairmont, WV. Both fishermen will represent WV at the TBF National Championship next spring (location to be determined).

We also want to give a big shout out to Josh Balser and JC Christopher on the boater’s side for placing 2nd and 3rd overall and Dan Selmon and Tommy Goodson for being the 2nd and 3rd highest finishing co- anglers.

It was tough fishing on the Mon River this weekend (2-hour fog delay on Saturday and rainy, wet Sunday morning conditions) and only 3 fishermen with limits both days (out of 76 anglers). For full results CLICK HERE

2023 District 12, WV, VA. National Semi-Finals on Sept. 16-17

Location : Fairmont, WV. Monongahela River

To be eligible to compete, you must be a member of a club in good standing with the WV Bass Federation and an active member of the TBF.

Each club can advance top boater and top co-angler from the club (clubs with 1-19 members). 2 boaters and 2 co-anglers (for clubs with 20-29 members, etc.).

OR

Top 10% of each states event participation (participation in last fall’s divisional qualifiers or this year’s buddy trail).

The top two teams from the 2022 Buddy Trail and the top 10 individuals from the 2022 State Championship will have paid entries into this event (top five from championship are eligible to be boaters). I have reached out to these members, and you don’t have to send me anything.

For all other members wanting to fish at this event, I must have your name, e-mail address and if you would like to go as a boater or co-angler by July 30th so I can send your information to the TBF (we must have an even number of boaters and non-boaters). Please try to help by finding a boater or non-boater and sending the pair of names to me at one time. If you can’t find someone and want to fish, send me your information and I will put you on the list and try to pair you up (first come, first paired by the date I receive your information). It’s up to the state to make sure we send an equal number of boaters and co-anglers to this event!

Once I send your information to the TBF, they will send you an e-mail to register and pay (boater $200 and non-boater $100) between August 1 – September 1.

1 boater and co-angler will advance to the Federation National Championship from this event. An additional boater / co-angler will advance for each 40 boat per state milestone reached.

For more information on the tournament, you can go to The BassFederation.com,  go to tournament schedules and then to National Semi- Finals. You can also contact Robert Harkness at bjharkness@suddenlink.net or call 304-275-3125.
